Register For Primaries

NEXT MONTH'S Massachusetts presidential primary may present a chance for area voters to make some clear choices about foreign and domestic policy.

To earn a vote, however, students must register to vote by 10 p.m. tonight--Cambridge residents, including all Harvard students, may sign up to vote on the third floor of the police station in Central Square.

Voters should remember that in Massachusetts, registering as an Independent gives them the right to choose either a Republican or a Democratic ballot when they report to the polls. This year, when the possibility is strong that one or the other of the races may be all-but-decided before the Bay State vote, registering as an Independent will allow useful flexibility.
