Even with the son of former Buffalo Bills' quarterback Jack Kemp and the son of Miami Dolphin mentor Don Shula, defending Ivy champion Dartmouth cannot score. The Big Green's offense resembles the offense of the N.Y. Giants, further evidence that quantitative nicknames mean nothing.

Dartmouth fell Saturday, 3-0, to an undefeated Yale squad in New Haven while racking up a meager 84 yards in total offense. Signal-caller Jeff Kemp went 5-17 through the air for a mere 31 yards. Wide receiver Dave Shula snagged only two passes for 13 yards.

Much of the credit for the Green's offensive meltdown rests with a feverish Bulldog defense which is emerging as a dominant force. A 38-yd. punt return by Mke Sullivan set up the contest's only points, a 24-yd. Dave Schwartz field goal late in the first half.

Ken Hill rushed 90 yards for the Elis while sporting a flack jacket. Yale stayed unbeaten since last season's 10-3 loss to Dartmouth.

Columbia matched Dartmouth's not so staggering point total, absorbing an embarrassing 35-0 loss to Princeton. Tiger quarterback Steve Reynolds tossed two touchdown ariels and ran for one to pace Princeton at Palmer Stadium.

Tiger back Chris Crissy rebounded from a mediocre performance against Brown last week, trundling the ball 100 yards on the ground.

Princeton's season mark stands at 2-1, while the Lions possess a 1-2 record.

Brown (2-1) prevailed over a surprisingly stubborn Penn (0-3) ide, 24-18, in Philadelphia. Field general Larry Carbone engineered a revved-up Bruin offense which produced nearly 500 yards. Fullback Marty Moran plunged over for the clinching touchdown.

Win-starved Quaker fans will have to wait for basketball season.
