Computer mistakes--at least officially--wrought havoc with the ambitions of more than a few pre-professional types, as test scores for both the law and medical school admissions tests behaved erratically. Admissions officers at many schools decided to ignore the test results; the reactions of scores of seniors went, fortunately, unrecorded.
