John B. Connally, the Kennedy School of Government's 1978 Gustav Pollak lecturer, will begin teaching on Monday a non--credit seminar on government--business relations in the United States and foreign countries.
The seminar will examine trade policies and business and labor relations. Peter B. Zimmerman '68, assistant dean and director of executive programs at the Kennedy School, said yesterday.
Zimmerman said Connally proposed the seminar and the subject because "He wanted to meet students in an informal setting, and he's interested and knowledgeable in the subject area."
Connally is the first Pollak Lecturer to become extensively involved with the school, Ira A. Jackson '70, assistant dean of the Kennedy School, said yesterday. In the past, lecturers would give three or four lectures, have a reception and then leave Cambridge, Jackson added.
