WASHINGTON--President Anwar Sadat to Egypt ended his talks with President Carter yesterday, without Persuading Carter to sell jet fighters to Egypt.
During the talks, Sadat told Congressmen that he would "raise hell" if they did not approve a weapons sale. "I am speaking as a Partner and I am threatening," he said.
Sadat cited "urgent messages" from Somaha and Chad asking for Egyptian aid as the reason behind his request for weapons. He told American Journalists that he has already sent Soviet-supplied arms to Somalia and that he might provide troops for Somalia in its war with Ethiopia.
