This is the second installment of the Crimson Weekly Scoreboard. It was a tumultuous week for Harvard sports.
Three talented teams had their unbeaten records snapped: tennis, in a 5-4 hearbreaker to Yale; baseball, in a tough 3-1 loss to Columbia; and golf, to Princeto in the Big Three match. To make matters worse, The Crimson had to eat its words when a Yale lacrosse team we had described as "hapless" upended Harvard's squad, 13-10.
But there were a few bright spots in this cold, rainy week, too. The Harvard and Radcliffe crews swept their varsity races on the Charles Saturday, although the men's lights needed some help from a crab. The women's lacrosse team continued its hot play, winning its sixth straight game. And, last but not least, the fledgling women's track team won its first varsity meet ever--83-35 on a cold, wet Brown track.
We could go on, but the numbers tell the story.
