Sources reported this week that Paul Weiler, current chairman of the Canadian Labor Relations Board, will be a visiting professor at the Law School next year pending Corporation approval.

In an unusual arrangement, Faculty of Arts and Sciences funds will finance Weiler's Law School appointment, sources said.

Ten years ago, Canadian and United States corporations donated money for the MacKenzie King Chair of Canadian Studies in the Faculty, but the post has never been filled.

As the Faculty has never agreed upon a professor to fill the chair, the Law School will use the funds this year. But Weiler's visit does not preclude the possibility of appointing a professor to the Faculty chair in the future.
