A female Harvard student narrowly escaped rape Saturday night just outside Gutman Library.
The woman was apparently forced into a car outside the library on Appian Way and driven a distance, while the occupants of the car attempted to rape her. She was freed or freed herself a short time later.
Harvard University Police yesterday confirmed they knew of the incident but declined to give any details.
