Freshman house assignments, made through a computerized lottery, have been completed, but freshmen will not be notified of their assignments before Thursday, a University official said yesterday.
Bruce Collier, assistant dean of the College, said that housing lists, assignment slips and a determination of where the assignees are now living would be made before students receive notice.
Collier said he may compare the actual house assignments to those that would have resulted if the previous method of assignment, designed to maximize the number of students assigned to their desired houses, had been retained.
