Three Defendants Face No Bail Hike

Suffolk County Superior Court Judge Arthur Mason yesterday denied a motion to raise the bail of three men accused of involvement in the November 16 stabbing incident in which two Harvard students were injured.

Suffolk County Assistant District Attorney Thomas Monday said yesterday he filed a request last Friday to raise the bail after considering the critical condition of Andrew Puopolo '77, injured in the stabbing.

Mason ruled, however, that he had already taken Puopolo's condition into account when he set the original bail figure at $50,000.

A hearing to fix the date of the defendants' trial will be held December 6, Monday said. The three are accused of assault with intent to murder and assault with intent to murder and assault with a dangerous weapon.
