Dining Halls Will Open Early Because of New Game Time

Most undergraduate dining halls will open a half an hour earlier than usual for lunch today, giving students the opportunity to eat early because of the change in kick-off time from 1:30 to 12:55 in this afternoon's Harvard-Yale football game.

The game has been moved back at the request of the American Broadcasting Company, which is televising it regionally.

The attempt to avoid a lunch crunch was inspired by an exceptionally large expected student turnout at today's game. Gordon M. Page, manager of the Ticket Office, said yesterday that 8000 tickets have been sold to undergraduates and their guests.

Dining halls in Adams, Dunster, Leverett, Lowell, Mather, North, South and Winthrop Houses will open a half-hour earlier than usual, at 11:30 a.m. Eliot and Kirkland dining halls will also begin serving lunch at 11:30, 15 minutes earlier than usual. Quincy will open at 11, one-half hour before the usual Saturday lunchtime.

The Currier House dining hall will start serving at its usual Saturday hour of 11:50.
