The strike is over, the strike continues, and the students face a Kafkaesque plight.
At Brown--the scene of the arrest of 11 students last week during a demonstration in support of striking service workers--350 workers agreed on Tuesday to return to their jobs, ending a strike of more than three months.
Picket lines remained in place, however, around Brown's libraries, where a strike by nearly 100 of the library workers continues with no end in sight.
The students arrested in last week's incident at the University's request are still awaiting notification from the city of Providence when their case will come up for trial. They face penalties of up to a year in jail and fines of $500.
