The Radcliffe heavyweight crew faces yet another stiff challenge this weekend, meeting Williams and Connecticut College Saturday on the Charles.

No Change in Boat

Radcliffe coach John Baker completed his seat racing this past week, but the Crimson first boat will remain the same as last week's, with Barbara Norris, Allison Hill, Katie M. Moss, Diane Hickman, Anne Robinson, Gail Rasmusen, and Robin Lothrop in the varsity eight. Nancy Hadly, of course, is the cotswain.

Williams figures to be the more difficult of the two opponents. The Ephwomen defeated Princeton earlier in the year by one second. Radcliffe, on the other hand, beat the Tigers by a mere three seconds last week, so the race shapes up as a stiff encounter for the Crimson.

The race will cover 1000 meters, in preparation for next week's sprints, each of which is also 1000 meters. Radcliffe had been racing more than 1000 meters in previous weeks.

The lightweights, having beaten just about every lightweight crew of consequence during the season, goes out to Worcester to face 11 heavyweight crews from the area.

"It would be quite a coup if we could win out there," light coach Peter Huntsman said. "If we row a race-like we did against our J.V. heavies a couple of weeks ago we should do okay."

The junior varsity heavies will race in the varsity race, since neither Williams nor Connecticut have junior varsity boats.
