Students at Brown Continue to Strike

The student strike at Brown against the administration's proposed budget cutbacks entered its third day yesterday with between 70 and 95 per cent of the student body participating in the boycott of classes, according to administration and student estimates.

Michael O'Neill, a representative of the student coalition which organized the strike, said that the strike is gaining momentum.

Students continued to demonstrate in front of administration buildings, while others attended workshops on various subjects sponsored by student groups and picketed in front of classroom buildings.

At Princeton, students plan to hold a rally Saturday to protest financial cutbacks at their university.
