Freshmen Skaters Topple Dartmouth For Eleventh Win

The freshman hockey team traveled to Hanover yesterday afternoon, and, in a preliminary to the varsity encounter, emerged with its eleventh triumph of the season, a 6-4 victory over Dartmouth.

The Indian freshmen, who had entered the game with an excellent 12-5 record, proved no match for Tim Taylor's squad.

Harvard's attack, led by Byron Cook, struck early, and after the opening period of play, the Crimson held a 3-0 advantage, one which it would never relinquish.

The Indians managed to narrow the lead in the second period, but Harvard's offensive firepower never slackened, as the Crimson outshot the Green by a wide margin.

Harvard's shot advantage soon proved decisive, as the Crimson added three additional goals and then coasted to the win.

In defense of the Green, it should be noted that Dartmouth played without many of its key performers. Harvard, however, once again played well, sustaining the momentum gained from last Saturday's 10-4 rout of Yale.
