Harvard's hot-hitting Leigh Hogan [right] was selected by the Eastern Intercollegiate Baseball League as Player of the Week last week for his play in the regular season double-header sweep of Princeton and the single game rout of Navy.
Hogan banged out six hits in his eleven trips to the plate in the three contests, driving in three runs. Two of his RBIs came in the first game against Princeton, the other against the Middies.
Hogan also stole a pair of bases during the weekend as he was on his way to becoming base-stealing champ in the league. The Crimson speed merchant has pilfered 18 sacks on the season to lead the squad.
The junior first baseman has lashed out 50 hits on the season, and now owns the Harvard record in that department, topping the old mark of 45 set in 1937.
