To the Editors of The Crimson:

In a report in the February 21 Crimson on the latest developments in the coming decision on 74 Mt. Auburn Street, reporter Philip Weiss says that Vice President "Hall said he is not sure he will be able to prevent a confrontation" between Hillel and Afro. I am somewhat confused at this statement, because I have seen no indications that a confrontation between the two is in the making. Neither Afro nor Hillel has threatened any action against the other group should Hall's decision be unfavorable.

Quite the contrary, each side has meticulously sought to avoid a head-on collision with the other in this affair, and rightly so. Hillel seeks nothing that belongs to Afro, and Afro seeks nothing that belongs to Hillel. If any dispute is impending, it is not between the two groups, but between one of the groups and the Harvard Administration. Jay Slater '75
