Meet the Press. The guest is Adm. Thomas Moorer, who will undoubtedly be questioned about Seymour Hersh's New York Times series that traced Pentagon spying to Moorer's office. Ch. 4, 4:30 p.m., 1/2 hour.
Wide World of Sports. While Moorer dodges bullets on Channel 4, Evel Knievel will jump over tractor-trailer trucks (11 of them) next door. At least, like Moorer, he will try. Ch. 5, 4:30 p.m. 1 1/2 hours.

Adam's Rib (1949). A classic Katherine Hepburn-Spencer Tracy comedy. The film (which spawned the unclassic TV situation comedy of the same name) concerns a married couple of lawyers who take different sides in the same murder case. Ruth Gordon and Garson Kanin wrote the script. Ch. 7, 11:30 p.m. B/W, 2 hours, 5 minutes.
TUESDAY
Bill Moyers's Journal. Herbert Marcuse and Bill Moyers discuss the radical movement of the 1960s. Ch. 2, 8 p.m. 1/2 hour.
The Hellstrom Chronicle (1971). An often fascinating, sometimes dumb documentary about insects--and how they might inherit the earth. Ch. 5, 8:30 p.m. Color, 1 1/2 hours.
