Phil Esposito picked up one goal and two assists as the Bruins defeated the Detroit Red Wings, 5-2, in National Hockey League play last night.
Esposito's goal proved to be the game-winner, and was scored while teammate Dave Forbes was out on a penalty.
Espo's assists came on two power-play goals by Bobby Orr, his 13th and 14th. Orr leads the NHL in scoring.
