Cambodia. Khmer Rouge revolutionaries last week pressed their assaults to within ten miles of the capital at Phnom Penh. Lon Nol has only 27 days left in power.

Argentina. After 18 years in the wilderness, Juan Peron is back, bringing with him his distinctive brand of liberal fascism. But Peron's support extends curiously leftward, and his assumption to power may start to break up Argentinian politics, frozen by a decade of military dictatorship.

Uruguay. The general strike that had paralyzed the country was called off by the trade union bureaucrats, sending much of their unhappy membership back to work. But the resistance to the newly proclaimed dictatorship of President Juan Maria Bordaberry will not end. The left is strong in Uruguay, and as it squares off with the military in coming weeks, Bordaberry may discover he has bitten off more than he can chew.
