The New York Knicks battled to a 98-91 victory over the Boston Celtics last night to take a 2-1 lead in the NBA semifinal playoff series.
A second half surge by the Celtics fell short, much to the disappointment of an obstreperous Boston Garden crowd.
The two teams travel to New York for the fourth game Sunday.
