The Kirkland House sonata program on Friday night has outstanding professional musicians from Marlboro and elsewhere. Two of them are recent Harvard grads: James Buswell '70 and Seth Carlin '69.
Marie-Claire Alain returns to Harvard to play the Fisk organ at Memorial Church. She is one of the world's great organists and will be worth hearing.
Also Friday night is the Collegium Musicum with a diverse program: Renaissance motets followed by one of the magnificent Bruckner masses.
Paul Rosenbloom does course work for his independent study in grand style: a full performance of two Mozart piano concerti.
