Pats Keep Trying

The New England Patriots have started a new search for a coach and general manager.

President Billy Sullivan and his search committee were set back this weekend when Penn State coach Joe Paterno rejected a one-million dollar offer for the deal role.

The next man to be considered may be retired Nebraska coach Bob Devaney. Told that he was next in line after Paterno turned down the job. Devaney replied with irritation. "Well I could consider it a great honor to be chosen behind a guy who had the best quarterback in the country and wouldn't throw the football."
