Kissinger Hints He Will Stay In Washington

Presidential adviser Henry A. Kissinger '50 affirmed Friday his intention to remain in the Nixon administration, and hinted that he would not be returning to his post in the Government Department, the Boston Globe reported Saturday.

When asked whether he planned to return to Harvard, he answered, "What makes you think I would want to go back the Globe reported.

Commenting on the Harvard Administration, Kissinger said. "It takes six months to get them to agree on anything," the artists said.

The Globe reported that James O. Wilson chairman of the Government Department, had said that if Kissinger asked to return to Harvard "we would be delighted to recommend his reappointment.

Wilson said yesterday that he had not yet heard from Kissinger. He said Thursday that Kissinger must inform the department of his intentions before the department meeting on February 6, or the department will begin proceedings to find a new professor.
