Crews Seeded High for Sprints

The Eastern Athletic Rowing Conference has seeded all three Harvard heavyweight crews second and each undefeated lightweight crew first for its Sprint Championships Saturday at Worcester.

Last year, the Crimson picked up three firsts and three seconds at the Sprints. The varsity heavyweight, varsity lightweight, and J.V. lightweight crews will be defending their titles this year.

In this year's varsity heavyweight seedings, Harry Parker's varsity is seeded behind number one Navy, who beat the Crimson by two seconds last Saturday. Following the pair are Penn, Cornell Princeton, and Northeastern.

Brown, a crew which beat Harvard's J.V. boat by 5.2 seconds earlier this season, is seeded number one in the second varsity race, and Navy, who nipped the Yardling heavyweights by 5 second Saturday, is the premier freshman crew.

In the lightweight division, coach Steve Gladstone's crews again dominate the field. The Crimson varsity is the overwhelming number one choice, seeded above Princeton, Navy, M.I.T., and Yale.
