Penn Hotshot Is Sidelined

Anil Kapur, number four man for the Penn squash team, ruptured a disk in tournament play and will be out for the rest of the season. Kapur had been one of the most successful Quakers in the past two years.

Last winter, as a junior. Kapur beat Dave Fish at number five in Penn's, team loss to Harvard. At the intercollegiate championship Kapur was ranked first in the C. division, consisting of number five and six players.

Faulty Feet

Kapur was eliminated in the semifinals by Harvard's Jaime Gonzalez in an extremely close match, 10-15, 15-11, 15-13, 15-10. The final game of the match was marred by a dispute between Kapur and the judge over the rules regarding the position of the feet during a serve. Kapur was called for three double foot faults in the final eight points.

Kapur started the season this year at number two but was passed by Elliot Berry and captain Jeff Condon. Kapur has been replaced by sophomore Chris Sadowski, who has advanced from number seven during the season.
