The Harvard and Radcliffe Senior Class Committees have worked out a merger plan to facilitate joint planning for Commencement activities. In the past the two committees have been entirely separate, meeting together only informally during the senior year.
The closer cooperation was agreed on by this year's Harvard marshals and Radcliffe officers.
The "non-merger" for the class committee allows each college to retain separate Class Marshals, Secretary, Treasurer and fundraising agents, but provides that they will share House representatives and will meet jointly on all combined events, including the Baccalaureate, Commencement, and Class Day ceremonies.
Elections for the position of House Representative to the 1972 Harvard-Radcliffe Joint Senior Class Committee are therefore open to all seniors regardless of sex. The only stipulation is that candidates must run to represent their present House.
