Crimson Vs. Daily Red Shirts Want Revenge

The Crimson will put it's 872 game winning streak on the line Saturday morning against the presently undefeated Columbia Daily Spectator. The Crimson began its quest for a ninety-eight undefeated season by edging Bok's Jocks, 23-2. The Spectator opened its schedule with a simple 29-7 victory over the Columbia varsity Wednesday.

Revenge

An element of revenge will dominate Saturday's context. The Crimson was robbed of its 864th consecutive 23-2 victory last fall when the Spectator refused to play on Rosh Hoshannah and forfeited, 1-0.

Mad Dog Bolding

The Crimson offense received a severe blow Wednesday when G. Mad Dog Bolding reported to the training table with a bum knee. Bolding has averaged approximately one safety per game this fall. His place on the line was filled last night however when the Crimson signed 6'7" 285 1b. Block Buster '71-8 at the fall comp meeting. Buster was an All-American defensive tackle for Jack and Jill and Senior Scholastic.

The Spectator is particularly weak on offense this year. "I wouldn't count on us scoring," coach Robert Abdoo said. "But I might place a small wager on us getting a safety on them."
