The first weekly ratings show Brown's soccer team as the best New England squad. The Bruins edged Harvard out of first after wallopping Rhode Island, 5-3, last weekend.
Harvard, ranked first in preseason polls, dropped to second without playing a game. The poll was taken prior to Wednesday's 5-0 victory over MIT.
Two Crimson opponents. Williams (fifth) and Dartmouth (ninth), were also in the New England top ten.
