Will Cloney. chairman of the Boston Athletic Association, announced yesterday that because of the "unmanageable" field of entrants in last year's Boston Marathon, he has enacted measures to limit the number of entries this spring.
Anyone wishing to run must meet one of three qualifications: 1) he must have completed the B. A. A. or other sanctioned marathon; 2) he must have completed two sanctioned ten-mile races during the past year or 3) he must have his entry certified by an area long-distance running chairman or by a qualified coach.
