Harvard's varsity track team opened its indoor season by overwhelming Boston University, 82-23, last night in the Crimson's bubble.
Tom Spengler, coming straight from a successful cross country season, set a bubble record of 4:11.00 in the mile. The Crimson completely dominated the Terriers in every event and swept the 600-yard run and the 60-yard high hurdles.
Bob Clayton won the 600 with a time of 1:11.8, and captain Walter Johnson nipped DelRay Maughan and Dewey Hickman to take the 60-yard highs in 7.5 seconds.
Harvard will face tougher competition than the predictably poor Terriers this Saturday when it meets Army at West Point.
