Surging back with two goals in the last ten minutes Saturday, Harvard's freshmen soccer team defeated Exeter, 2-1, to remain undefeated going into today's match at Andover.

The freshmen, who now have a 5-0 record, needed two goals by the team's leading scorer Felix Adedeji to erase a 1-0 Exeter lead and preserve their unbeaten string.

According to freshman coach Dana Getchell, Andover is a physically strong club and is bigger on all three lines than the Crimson. Andover has already beaten Dartmouth's freshmen, 2-0, and the University of New Hampshire's first year squad, 4-0.

Last week Harvard's junior varsity squad lost its first game of the season, 2-1, in overtime to Amherst's B-team. The Crimson scored first on an opening period goal by sophomore Ron Padmore.

Amherst tied the score in the second quarter and won the contest on a free kick with seconds left in the first overtime period. Despite the loss, B-team coach Seamus P. Malin said, "We made fewer defensive mistakes than we do when we win."

Both junior varsity and freshmen squads will travel to Princeton this weekend. The B-squad will play the Tigers on Friday afternoon. The freshmen encounter will be Saturday morning.
