Princeton junior Hank Bjorklund, whose strong running in the fourth quarter paced Princeton to a 24-22 come-from-behind victory over Columbia last Saturday, has been named the Ivy Back of the Week.
Bjorklund carried 28 times for 178 yards and rambled 42 yards on two consecutive carries in the third quarter to set up the Tigers' tying touchdown.
In the fourth period, Bjorklund put Princeton ahead to stay, 21-14, on a two-yard sweep around right end. On that drive, he picked up 48 of the 78 yards covered.
At 6' 2" and 185 pounds, Bjorklund edged out Harvard's Tom Miller for the first Back of the Week honors of the 1970 season. Miller returned to fullback Saturday against Rutgers and had his best day ever, picking up 159 yards on 24 carries.
Miller broke through the Knight's defense on a 50-yard burst early in the fourth period to revive a sagging Crimson attack, and ended up the team's leading rusher with 191 yards in two games.
