The freshman cross country team pushed its record over 500 yesterday afternoon at Franklin Park with a decisive 17-43 triumph over Andover Academy.
Four Yardlings finished in a tie for first in 12:25 to lead the Crimson effort. They were Rick Rojas, Jerry Hines, Andy Campbell, and Jerry Hadley. It was Rojas' third straight victory.
With a record of 3-2, Harvard approaches another tough part of its schedule. Saturday the Yardlings race Cornell at 11:30 a. m. in Franklin Park, and Providence. Dartmouth, and championship meets follow in the coming month.
The Crimson has improved rapidly, but it is difficult to gauge its capabilities because of the recent mediocre opponents. One problem right now is an injury to Fred Linsk, who began the season as one of the top men.
