Rank Lists

If you ask a Harvard student what kind of grades he's been getting, he'll probably answer in terms of a Rank List Group. The Groups are simply a bookkeeping method, but they are important at certain times during your career. Each House, for instance, may accept applications from only a certain number of men in each Group. Some fields of concentration are effectively restricted to those in Groups One and Two The Dean's List contains everyone above Group Three.

The Groups are:

One-Four A's.

Two-An A and a half and two and a half B's.

Three-All B's.

Four-Two B's and Two C's.

Five-Four C's.

Six-Three C's and a D (very exclusive Group).

Seven-Anything Lower.
