Pusey to Speak at B-School Today

President Pusey will be the first of eight speakers to talk this morning at an all-day Business School symposium on the issues raised at Harvard since the takeover of University Hall.

Over 1500 people are anticipated at the Business School from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The symposium will encourage written questions from the floor.

Box lunches will be provided and members of The Proposition will perform. After lunch, the symposium will be divided into ten discussion groups and each group will meet with representatives from SDS, PBH, Afro, and the Teaching Fellows.

At 4 p.m., there will be further meetings for those who want to get actively involved in issues raised by the symposium.

Following Pusey will be George P. Baker '25, dean of the Business School, Archibald Cox '62, Samuel Williston Professor of Law, who will speak about campus disorders in general, and Harvey Brooks, dean of the School of Engineering and Applied Physics, who will talk on the University's relation to Federal contracts.

Thomas Atkins, Boston's only black City Councillor, will present his views on the University and the community. Then Henry R. Norr '68, a graduate student at the Ed School who is running for the Board of Overseers, will speak on SDS and the New Left.

Following Norr will be Charles P. Whitlock, assistant to the President for Civic and Governmental Relations, who will speak on "The Administration's viewpoint," and Stanley H. Hoffman, professor of Government, who will consider "The Faculty's Viewpoint."

William D. Danner '62, a second-year Business School student on the Speakers Subcommittee, said the symposium is "kind of a stab in the dark. We don't know whether it will be effective."

The decision to have today's symposium was reached after a Business Referendum voted 847-430-124 last week to "support a joint Student-Faculty symposium on the issues now facing Harvard." There will be a follow-up meeting on Monday
