Harvard's varsity lacrosse team has a tough assignment today as it hosts Brown in an effort to up its Ivy League record to 2-1 at 3 p.m. on the Business School Field.

Brown is one of the top teams in the league and was tied with Princeton for first place until Saturday's 10-5 loss to the Tigers. The Bruins' two wins were over Dartmouth, 11-4, and Penn, 6-4.

Injuries

The Crimson's talented midfielder Bruce Regan has almost completely recovered from his injury and tallied seven points in Saturday's 12-4 win over Cornell. But the defense is still hindered by physical ailments. Kirby Wilcox and Pete Barber will not be able to play today, and Bob McDowell will see only spot action if he plays at all.

Coach Bruce Munro has shuffled his midfield. Bobby Johnson has joined Regan and Jim Kilkowski on the first line in place of Paul Bloom, who has not been seen of the lacrosse field for ten days. Jim Anderson will team with Rick Frisbee and captain Tom Nicosia on the second unit.

Munro feels that the win over defending champion Cornell was a psychological boost, but said, 'Today we'll be going from the frying pan into the fire. We must have a good performance to be in the game," he added.

The top scoring threat for Brown is attackman Bob Anthony, who has nine goals and 15 assists. Rick Buck, one of eight Bruins from Baltimore, is only one point behind Anthony, and sophomore Bob Sealise has netted 20 goals.

Crimson Attack

The Brown defense should prove a tough match for the high-scoring Crimson attack led by John Ince. The Bruin goalie is third-team All-Ivy choice Roger Bollentin, and veteran co-captain Frank Scofield is one of the big men in front him.
