With one week still remaining in its Cambridge run, arrangements are already well underway for the Theatricals' annually hectic spring tour.
Within a ten-day span, "Bottoms Up" will give six benefit performances, playing twice in New York on March 29, in Philadelphia March 31, and in Bermuda from April 2 through April 6.
Playing benefits has long been a Pudding tradition, but for the first time in the 121 year history of the Show, all six tour appearances will aid charity.
Both the 6 and 9 p.m. shows at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York will raise money for the Harvard Club of New York Scholarship Fund, and two nights later, proceeds from the performance a Haverford College will be donated to a similar fund for the Harvard Club of Philadelphia.
The Pudding's three Bermuda benefits at City Hall, Hamilton, will provide the only official fund-raising function for the two-year old Bilee Lang Memorial Scholarship Fund.
Working with a group of Bermuda residents, the Theatricals established the Fund in memory of Miss Lang, a popular artiste who passed away two years ago to enable a talented Bermudian of college age to study art in England for a year.
"Bottoms Up" opened on March 3rd to enthusiastic reviews, and will play at the club house in Cambridge through Thursday evening. March 27. Contrary to rumor, tickets remain for every weeknight performance for the remainder of the run, and reservations can be made by calling 491-5846 or at the club's box office at 12 Holyoke street.
