Grass is Scarce

Deputy Atty. Gen. Richard G. Kleindienst and Asst. Secretary of the Treasury Eugene Rossides said Thursday that "in a spot check of college campuses, the government found Mexican marijuana almost unavailable at Yale, Harvard, and the University of California."

New England narcotics officials said mattress hair, dried beet greens, snuff, roots, sticks, and assorted weeds are being sold as grass.

But local dealers reported that large quantities of good grass are available at $15 an ounce, or about the price which prevailed before the "crackdown."
