The freshman tennis team continued undefeated Wednesday with a 7-2 win over Andover. The Yardlings showed surprising balance in adding Andover to M.I.T. and Amherst on their list of victims.
Joe Cavanaugh played well in the number one spot, defeating Rick Devereux 7-5, 6-4. In the number two position, Bruce Price disposed of Andover's Xavier Esteves 8-6, 6-3. Chris Nielson and Bill Brock won their matches in straight sets, while Chuck Benbrook defeated his opponent 6-3, 2-6, 6-3.
In doubles play, Benbrook and Rosenthal, and Price and Nielson, won in straight sets.
Saturday, the squad journeys to Exeter with one change. Jaime Gonzales will play number five and Brock will play sixth.
