To the Editors of the CRIMSON:
The Crimson editorial, pontificating from Mount Olympus, on "the paucity of first rate black social scientists" exemplifies a neo-racist attitude whose effects are no less debilitating than the institutional racism Harvard's hiring policy functions to perpetuate. The paternalistic, misinformed, patronizing tenor of the article distorts and undermines the essential validity of the criticism. Lani Gulnier '71 Connie Hilliard '71
