To the Editors of the CRIMSON:
Last Friday an article on the upcoming RUS Student/Trustee Conference appeared in the Crimson. Several students feel that certain points in that article were misleading and I am therefore using this opportunity to clarify them.
The original RUS Constitution has not been discarded in favor of a new Constitution. The RUS officers have not drawn up a new draft nor have they eliminated any provisions of the original Constitution. One of the purposes of this Conference is to discuss the original Constitution and to make any necessary amendments to it as a result of suggestions proffered by this Conference. This Friday and Saturday will afford students the opportunity to explain the purported Constitutional "inconsistencies," many of which are of a stylistic rather than of a substantive nature, to the Trustees and Administration directly.
