Crimeds Wallop Daily Penn, 23-2

A strong defense and sufficient offense enabled the CRIMSON editors to win their second game of the season Saturday morning. The Crimeds downed the Daily Pennsylvanian, 23-2.

The absence of Joel Kramer, Scott Jacobs, and Leo Lennon weakened the CRIMSON forces, according to Lennon and Jacobs, but Mike Barrett and Bill Bryson took up the slack. Both Barrett and Bryson ran for touchdowns, and the speedy Bryson was superlative in the defensive secondary.

The CRIMSON's sturdy middle line-backer, Jerry Gerst, thrilled the crowd, which consisted solely of his girl friend, with a last minute interception which he ran back for a touchdown.

Since there are extra seats available, the Boston Department of Parks and Recreation may, rumors have it, send 2500 kids to the next home game which features The CRIMSON and The Brown Daily Herald.
