Sparked by the pin-point passing of Mike Barrett and the receptive hands of Bill Bryson and Dick Paisner, the CRIMSON touch football squad rolled to a 23-2 triumph over the Dartmouth Daily Saturday morning before a crowd of three disgruntled fans and one dog.

Employing a left wing offense, the Harvard receivers eluded the Indian secondary repeatedly and Barrett, operating out of shotgun formation, took full advantage. Bryson and Paisner caught at least two touchdown passes each, and perhaps more.

The defense was even more impressive, CRIMSON President Joel "Night Train" Kramer, despite the nails in his feet and calves, picked off two Dartmouth aerials, while Scott Jacobs intercepted three. The Crimson's giant front four of Jim "Lamar" Kitch, Pete "Leo" Lennon, Mike "Rosey" Sylvester, and Rick "Showman" Edmonds put crushing pressure on the visitors' quarterback, pushing aside all would-be blockers.

What the Daily lacked in finesse, it made up for in aggressiveness. A psyched-up Jacobs, roving the field with uncanny success, nearly found himself in a bit of a scrap with an annoyed receiver at the four-beer mark.

This was, of course, the season opener for the CRIMSON. Saturday's success story, however, prompted remarks that this same journalistic force is eager to match athletic prowess with any team The Daily Pennsylvanian dares to send this Saturday.
