Marshall D. Shulman, a research associate of the Russian Research Center and its former associate director, has been named to head the Russian Institute of Columbia University.
Shulman is now professor of International Politics at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy of Tufts University. From 1950 to 1953, he was a special director to Dean Acheson, then Secretary of State. He was associate director of the Russian Center from 1954 to 1962.
He assumes his new post in September.
