The Harvard College Fund will host 100 seniors at dinner in Holyoke Center's penthouse tonight, launching a campaign to raise money for a class gift to the College.
Dean Ford will address the group, which will lead the week-long fund-raising campaign to begin Friday in the Houses.
Last year, 71 per cent of the class of 1966 pledged a total of $6,901. The Fund received $2,627,801 from 20,000 alumni.
Money raised by the Fund through annual gifts from classes as far back as that of 1891 is used to help the College meet current expenses and to provide a reservoir of unrestricted money for College projects such as the Freshman Seminar program, financial aid to undergraduates and Intramural sports.
