The National Student Association revealed late yesterday that it has been subsidized since the early 1950's by the Central Intelligence Agency. NSA president Eugene Groves said that the group has been struggling for two years to break the "covert relationship" and would no longer accept CIA money. The CIA first offered the money, he said, because it wanted to counter Communist-sponsored youth activities.
