The College Young Democratic Clubs of Massachusetts put its political future on the line yesterday when it endorsed Sen. Eugene J. McCarthy for President at its annual convention.
The endorsement of McCarthy may lead to the dissolution of the 5000 member organization. It is against the constitution of the group's parent organization, the National Young Democrats, to endorse any candidate before he has been formally endorsed by the Democratic Party in convention. Because of this violation of the constitution the Massachusetts group's charter may be revoked by the National organization.
The convention also unanimously re-elected Denis R. Kanin '68 as chairman of the clubs.
