In the final lacrosse game of the season Saturday, Cornell bombed Dartmouth 21-5, to win its first Ivy League title.
Coach Ned Harkness's undefeated Big Red squad mowed down all six Ivy rivals and sported a 12-0 record for the season. Dartmouth finished at 1-5 in the league, just above last-place Harvard.
Bruce Cohen, Cornell's all-Ivy attack-man, won the league scoring championship by scoring two goals and making seven assists to bring his season's point total to 28. Brown's Bill Carr was second with 26 points.
Cornell's Tom Quaranto contributed seven goals in the Dartmouth victory.
