Students who filled out a poll for the John F. Kennedy Institute of Politics this month-showed a strong interest in the institute's programs for Undergraduates.

Eighty-two per cent of the 600 students who polled said they would be interested in institute sponsored seminars on political topics. Fifty-two per cent -- more than 300 students -- said they would like to join a political debating union starting Fall.

David M. Gordon '65, assistant to Richard E. Neustadt, the director of the Institute, termed the interest "highly encouraging." He said that responses to seminar program were particularly favorable; the majority of those polled indicated that they preferred seminars meeting weekly, would do up to three hours of reading a week, and might be willing to write a paper.

Asked to propose other programs the Institue might sponsor, several students suggested summer internships in political offices. The Institute has already considered this idea.
